Emmeline Chang’s novel, THE AGONY OF THE LEAVES, tells the story of tea through the lives of the people it touches–from its mythic origins in ancient China to a contemporary queer teahouse.
Her writing appears in HuffPost, ACM: Another Chicago Magazine, BigCityLit, and Seal Press and Tarcher/Putnam anthologies, and is supported by Tin House, VONA, the Kenyon Review, Ragdale, Millay, and VCCA. She has taught writing at the PEN American Center and Gotham Writers’ Workshop.
Emmeline graduated from Princeton, has an MFA from Columbia University, and lives in Brooklyn with her husband and two sons.
